Chapter 'A' April Socials
For those who were able to attend any or all of the March socials, I'm sure you will agree... following that tasty line-up is going to be tough to beat...Thanks again Mike and De for providing us some great places to do 3 of the 5 things we like to do the best...(1)gather, (2)gab and (3)gourge. So I am not even going to try to "one up" the Blangys. Aprils selection of succulent suppertime social sites is "geared" to motivate us to motor. My thought process is ....if I pick some truly "fast food" establishments, possibly, hopefully, if the weather gods are with us, we might...if we are lucky..be able to get in some short AFTER SOCIAL RIDES ! (number 4 of 5). I think it was last September when we actually went on a pseudo-organized evening ride together...hence the April pick:
April 2 IHOP in the South parking lot of the SuperMall in Auburn...OK it's not fast food, but the weather forcast is for rain..if it's dry.....we will ride.
Breakfast for dinner....it's so naughty !
April 9 Taco Time in Auburn...the one off of 15th St..just East of Hwy 167...across the street from the big AM PM ( 6 - 14th St NE, Auburn)
....the Mexi Fries alone are worth the visit to your planet !

April 17th YES, it's a THURSDAY. We will be changing the social from Wed to THURSDAY this week only....this way, those that are attending the Bowman GPS 101 and GPS 102 classes will not have to commit 2 evenings. We all have busy schedules and I am just trying to make it easy on all of us. So the location of the THURSDAY social is :
ZOOPAS at SouthCenter...East of the Target store and across the street to the South of SouthCenter Mall.
...did I mention THURSDAY...Zoopas salad and soup...where people on strict diets go to dine !
April 23 Fat Burger in Issaquah ...from the XXX, go North, under I-90...about a 1/2 up on the right 6220 Ea Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, Issaquah (Home Depot parking lot)
messy, drippy, loaded burgers, chili-cheese fries, malts and a juke box....oh yeah, checkered tiled floors...way cool !
April 30 Popeyes Fried Chicken 34960 Enchanted Parkway, Fed Way (Costco parking lot NW corner)

*Print this out and put it on your refer door. Write it out on a stick pad. Transfer the info to the calendar. Mark the dates tonite.
*More and more of you seem to be able to get to these socials around 5:30...for those stragglers (like myself and Yvonne) who show up at 6pm..there is still time to eat and be on the road by 6:30pm. My goal is to have some "after social" rides...keeping this in mind, tentative helmet time at the April restaurants is going to be 6:30pm. If the weather is clear, it should give us a good 1 to 1/1/2 hours of riding time.....it's a goal, not a law.
*On Thursday April 17th...the Bowman GPS classromm will be at the Southcenter Community Baptist Church..which is located at 14742 MacAdam Road South, Tukwilla. Google or mapquest the address, it looks like it is due North of Southcenter Mall on MacAdam Road. We need to be at the church at 7pm....a full 2 hours of learning and Tim needs to vacate the church before 9pm.
