Pics from our Mystery Campout, August 7 & 8, 2010 ![]() Todd and Rosa's motor home and GL1800. Everyone socializes for a while. It is still early. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The waiting is over. We finally got on the road out of town. East through Covington, South through Maple Valley and on to Enumclaw where we turned left and headed over Hwy 410 and into the Mt Rainier national Park. We skirted around Mt Rainier and made a stop in Packwood for a little fuel and a quick snack. After Packwood, we headed into Randle where we made a left turn due south on NF-25. Though it had been a bit of a drizzly morning, we didn't run into any rain all day long. Dry pavement on NF-25 makes for a nicer ride but it didin't seem to make it any smoother. After passing Swift Reservoir we stopped for a quick nature break and a clothing adjustment. The day was getting warmer and we were feeling the heat. ![]() ![]() We arrived at our destination about six hours after our departure from Renton Motorcycle Center. The advance team arrived a good three hours earlier. Sam lead two bikes to the camping location and Terrie with her daughter Stefanie led a cadre of four cars that were hauling the supplies for the weekend. We had BBQ ribs, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Pork-N-Beans, and a large assortment of salads. They had things all set up by the time we arrived. Of course, we called them when we were about 40 minutes away that they would have plenty of advance notice for final preparations for dinner. ![]() A Great dining area and it was adjacent to some recreational facilities. You see Debbie and her son AJ playing a little one on one backetball. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There was something for everyone to do. While some of the kids were playing with their tents the spme of the other kids were taking things a little more in stride. The local swimming hole had their attention. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once the camp area was secure and ready for occupancy, we turned our attention to more important things - FOOD. In fact it was so important, I didn't even get any picutes of it. I was too busy eating. But I did get a few of the Smores makers and Camp Pie brigade at work. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We start a new day. The ladies are feverishly cooking breakfast. And what a FINE job they are doing. We had eggs, bacon sausage, pancakes, assorted juices milk and fruit. ![]() Rosa cooks the sausage and bacon as Steph works away at a VERY large pan of soon to be scrambled eggs.
