Welcome to the home page of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), Washington State Chapter “A”, Seattle. We represent a single chapter within the Worlds largest, single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles. We are dedicated to our organizations motto..”Friends for Fun, Safety, and Knowledge”, our organization is strictly volunteer, and it is a non-religious, non-profit, and non-political organization.
The two most important things we do in Chapter WA-A are #1..we DO love to ride our Gold Wings and #2, we DO love to have fun. We are a diverse group, our ages vary from teens to octogenarians… we are professionals, we are laborers, and we are craftsmen. We work in healthcare, assembly, and sales…we are self employed, we work for the government and we are retired. The common thread that draws us together is our love for motorcycling and socializing with others of like mind. We promote proper motorcycling etiquette at all times, and we are keen on advancing our motorcycling skills through organized safety and knowledge based programs in order to minimize our risks and maximize our enjoyment.
Each chapter has its own personality and ours is no exception. We are Chapter “A” because we were the 1st chapter commissioned in the state of Washington…our chapter mascot is the APE. We are a very active chapter, with events and gatherings occurring on a weekly basis. During good weather (anything above 40f) you will find us on local and distant highways and byways… enjoying each others company and making memories.
Our monthly breakfast meetings are held at the “Full Throttle Café” (part of Renton Motorcycle Company) located at 3701 East Valley Road in Renton WA., on the 4th Saturday of every month (except Nov and Dec), and there is usually a group ride following each monthly meeting. In addition to our monthly meetings, during the prime riding season, we gather each Wednesday at 6pm at the XXX Drive-In in Issaquah for a quick burger or ice cream then again, head out for an evening cruise. Winter months, our Wednesday socials are held at various local restaurants, the times and locations found on the “Rides and Events” page. Please come join us.
So again, welcome to our Chapter A website, home of the APES. Spend some time and get to know us. If you like what you see and would like to learn more about our group, please contact me (see staff page) or stop by at any of our monthly or weekly gatherings…we would love to meet you !
On behalf of the Chapter WA-A Officers, Staff and participants...please come join us!
